Hezron Chetty is a violinist and songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa. After spending many years travelling around the world Hezron crafted a groundbreaking way of performing the violin. ‘‘Chetty has travelled almost the entire landscape of sound having tried his hand at classical, jazz, rock, house, folk and punk’.- Tonight (Independent Newspapers)

A modern violinist Hezron implores the use of a loop station and is backed by a drummer and bass player. The loop station allows him to layer string arrangements which repeats allowing the drummer and bass player to give the music the drive. Taking from great bands such as Muse, Led Zeppelin, the Doors and instrumental legends like Charlie Parker, Andrew Bird, Jimmy Page, Stephane Grappelli. Hezron has crafted a sound that is true, bold and unique to the current and ever changing landscape of music.

‘The performance thus successfully serves as a clear testament to the mastered formation of Chetty’s personal craft throughout the years in the industry as an assuredly exceptional and innovative violinist. –‘ Texx and The City on Hezron Chetty as one of the top 20 acts at Rocking The Daisies 2016 ( Voted Best Music Blog in Africa at the 2016 African Blogger Awards)
